Why choose our wooden arrows?

Wooden arrows often have a reputation for being inaccurate due to variations in spine and weight. Manufacturer bundles usually list arrows in 5-pound ranges, but the reality is that spine variations can be as much as plus or minus 10. This variance combined with differing weights can make it tough to shoot accurately.

Our solution:

Port Orford cedar shafts: Our arrows are made from top-quality Port Orford Cedar from Rose City. They come pre-lacquered and ready for your final touches.
Careful sorting: We know wood varies naturally, so we've sorted thousands of arrows, ensuring only the best make it to you. We've identified those with “run-out” and other flaws which are available as seconds and great as add-ons or spares for your premium shaft sets.
Precision grouping: We've tested each arrow for weight and spine and grouped them to minimize variation. While some spines and weights are harder to match, we've done our best to keep them consistent. Our arrow pages show the full range of weights and spines so you know what you are getting.
Compatible components: We currently only stock 5/16" shafts. This enables us to hold a larger stock and create better spine and weight matched groups. It also means that all of our points and nocks for wooden arrows will fit.
