Because this style of bow has no sights or stabiliser it requires a “back to basics” style of shooting that is loved by so many.

What makes a longbow a longbow?  Well, longbows have mostly straight limbs and when strung the string only touches the bow at the nocks (tips of the limbs). They are also long (believe it or not) and must be at least 150cm long for female and youth archers, and 160cm or more for adult males.
