Our custom Flemish twist bow strings are made-to-order based on your needs.

Using with BCY 652 (Fast Flight equivalent) and BCY Halo serving they're sure to have your bow standing out from the crowd.

Let us know your nock size, bow length and colour preference and we'd love to make your new bow string.

If you're near Hobart and are able to provide your bow and an arrow (or just a nock) we'll tailor the string to fit. 

Note:  String includes serving but not nocking point/s if we can't access the bow itself.

How to choose a string length?

Getting a string of the right length will help tune the performance of your bow.

  • If you have a string you are happy with, simply stretch it out and measure the full length from end to end.
  • If this is a new bow, and you know the length of the bow, a string is typically 3-4 inches shorter depending on preferred brace height. This is adjustable by twisting the string.
  • If you don't know the string length or the bow height, measure along the belly of the bow (the bit that points towards you when shooting) from string nock to string nock.
  • If in doubt, give us a call or send us an email.

Why is my nock size relevant?

Different sized nocks determine the required thickness of the string. A small nock will likely require a 12-14 strand string whereas a large nock will take an 18 strand string.
